Imran Khan was furious to no limit when he saw that his tsunami had shrunk to a creek in Gujjar Khan. Imran Khan’s political head honcho Haroon Rasheed was found saying repeatedly on TV shows and in his columns that Tsunami of Imran Khan would be in full swing and in full bloom in Gujjar Khan and would break all the records.
ReplyDeleteThe Gujjar Khan is very important for Imran Khan symbolically. His covert patron General Kayani belongs to this area. His spiritual leader Prof. Rafiq Akhtar hails from this area and he has his baithak nearby. Haroon Rasheed is found almost weekly in this area, and it was thought that this logical headquarter of PTI would bring in hundreds of thousands people in Imran Khan’s 9th March rally.
But Imran almost sagged when he saw his balloon getting punctured. Ibrar ul Haq, the Billo singer requested handful of people to pick PTI flags from empty chairs and keep them high in their hands, but even that failed to hide the huge number of vacant chairs. Even the repentant Javed Hashmi and Shah Mehmood Qureshi didn’t appear, and Imran cut short his speech and ran away quickly.
